O On behalf of a client, a well-established global leader in the forex industry we are looking to recruit a Junior Network and Security Engineer for their offices in Cyprus.
Responsibilities:
- Providing operational support to other IT teams or teams from the wider business
- Investigating operational alerts regarding the health of the network and security infrastructure
- Helping with the administration and maintenance of the organization’s firewalls
- Working closely with senior team members and contributing to the projects the team delivers
- Reporting and staying abreast of current security technologies, threats and vulnerabilities
- Documenting and maintaining existing documentation related to technologies or procedures used by the team
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Information Technology or any other related field
- Minimum 1 year working experience in a related position
- Hands on experience with firewall administration will be considered an advantage
- Good knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, IPS, WAF and VPNs
- Basic understanding of various information system technologies (Windows/Linux systems, Active Directory, VMware, databases etc)
- Critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
- Very good verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Very good organizational and time management skills
- Entry level network engineering qualifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc) will be considered an advantage
