Job Description

Fraud and Payments Department

Full time, Cyprus office

  • Prepare regular reports on the performance of payments solutions, research and progress with internal payments-related projects;

  • With help of Payments Onboarding Coordinator, manage the onboarding process of new payment solutions, with focus on planning and anticipating all necessary steps;

  • Protect Company’s interest and act with diligence upon submission of corporate documents to the partners;

  • Ensure the contract details match with negotiated terms;

  • Regularly evaluate the current needs for credit card, bank and alternative payment methods; bring them to the internal discussions with relevant stakeholders;

  • Identify and prioritise needs for the solutions in line with business needs and planned expansion;

  • Efficiently manage the communication with PSPs and other business partners, internally and externally;

  • Ensure the attractiveness of current (internal) payment product, considering feedback, performance and situation with payments market applicable to the industry;

  • Play vital part in establishing global payments strategy, to ensure no-downtime payments system is in place;

  • Assist CTO with setting up priorities for development of new features and integrations;

  • Oversee monitoring of performance and acceptance ratio of newly implemented solutions;

  • Actively work on optimising the performance of existing payments solutions and re-negotiate terms with partners if necessary;

  • Together with relevant teams, participate in offboarding of payment solutions and ensure contractual obligations have been met; 

  • Maintain documentation of all payment methods, commercial offers and reports, to ensure that the organisation can be up to date and trained on all PSPs;

  • Actively participate in internal projects of business development, under guidance of Head of Fraud and Payments;

  • Ensure all potential partnership requests have been reviewed internally; 

  • Act timely in case of unexpected delays in deployments, payment issues or terminations, escalate issues to relevant teams and actively work on providing backup solutions;

  • Produce Weekly Reports with status updates;

  • Report to the Head of Fraud and Payments;

  • Help driving the overall business and profit margins from payments perspective;

  • Control the relationship with payment gateways and actively work on their optimization;

  • Manage the routing of payments transactions.

Required Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Min. 5 years of proven experience in the online payments industry, with min. 3 years of focus on a high risk industry (ex. online entertainment, iGaming, multi-level marketing, bookmaking);

  • Knowledge of Project Management and related tools;

  • Familiarity with key areas of payments product (Payment Cycle, Payment Methods);

  • Excellent understanding of payments industry (MID, gateways, routing, acceptance ratio, chargeback, MDR, Rolling Reserve etc.);

  • Sound knowledge of payment industry standards and regulations (PCI DSS, PSD2, SCA, 3DS v.2, etc.);

  • Experience in B2B sector, with focus on building and managing relationships;

  • Ability to determine and work with priorities;

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills;

  • Attention to detail, catchy eye;

  • Proficiency in English (orally and in writing); additional European languages are a plus;

  • Experience with building and analyzing complex performance reports;

  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced environment;

  • Great flexibility and adaptability; team-player;

  • Tech savvy, self- motivated; always meeting deadlines;

  • Demonstrate ethics and integrity in business practices.

Desired:

  • Experience with corporate due diligence, especially KYB procedures;

  • Experience in opening bank accounts / merchant accounts;

  • Experience in working in a startup company.
